  • Lucky the Bunny
Lucky is a tiny dwarf bunny with adorable little ears. She came from a loving home where she wasn’t getting along with her bunny brothers, and we’re so happy to provide her with a cozy new home.

  • Five New Goats
Say hello to Cadence, a stunning Nubian goat, and her four friends: Moo Moo, Wilbur, Wendy, and Pepper, all Nigerian Dwarf girls. This lovable group was left at a local horse boarding stable and needed a permanent home. They’ve already stolen our hearts and are settling in beautifully!

From Tragedy to Triumph: The Inspiring Journey of Cupcake the Miniature Horse

by Christy Lamb on 12/27/24

At Charming Pony Parties, we believe every animal deserves a second chance, and no story illustrates this better than that of Cupcake, our beloved miniature horse. Cupcake's journey from a near-death experience to becoming a registered therapy pony is a testament to the power of love, care, and resilience.

A Heartbreaking Beginning

Cupcake’s story begins in 2022 when she arrived at our farm, a mere skeleton of a horse. At just 2 years old, she had already endured more hardship than most animals face in a lifetime. Rescued from a slaughterhouse, Cupcake was emaciated, weak, and in desperate need of care. It was clear that she had suffered greatly, but despite her condition, there was a spark in her eyes that told us she wasn’t ready to give up.

The Road to Recovery

From the moment Cupcake arrived, we knew she needed more than just physical nourishment; she needed love, attention, and a sense of security. Our team immediately set to work, providing her with a carefully planned diet to help her regain strength. Slowly but surely, Cupcake began to fill out, her skeletal frame giving way to the healthy, sturdy body of a miniature horse that had a will to live.

But Cupcake’s recovery wasn’t just about feeding her. We spent countless hours working with her, helping her to trust again. Through gentle training and positive reinforcement, Cupcake learned that not all humans were to be feared. She began to open up, revealing a sweet and friendly personality beneath her initial apprehension. Each day, she grew stronger, not just in body, but in spirit.

A New Beginning as a Therapy Pony

As Cupcake continued to thrive, it became clear that she had a special gift. Her gentle nature and the calm she brought to those around her hinted at a potential beyond just being a beloved member of our farm. With the right training and certification, Cupcake could become a therapy pony, bringing comfort and joy to those in need.

After months of care and training, Cupcake achieved what once seemed impossible: she became a registered therapy pony. Now, this once-neglected miniature horse visits hospitals, care facilities, and other places where her presence can make a difference. Cupcake’s calm demeanor and friendly disposition have a remarkable impact on those she meets, offering a sense of peace and happiness that only an animal can provide.

The Power of Second Chances

Cupcake’s story is a powerful reminder of the impact we can have when we choose to care for those in need. From the brink of death to a new life filled with purpose, Cupcake has shown us all what it means to be resilient. She has become a symbol of hope and recovery, not just for the people she visits, but for everyone who hears her story.

At Charming Pony Parties, we are honored to have been a part of Cupcake’s journey. She continues to inspire us every day, reminding us that with love, care, and a little bit of time, even the most broken spirits can be healed. Cupcake is living proof that every life has value, and every creature deserves a second chance.

We invite you to come meet Cupcake and the other incredible animals at our farm. Whether you’re visiting for one of our events or you've booked a private party, Cupcake is sure to capture your heart just as she has ours.

Meet Freddy the Pig: Our Charming Kune Kune Friend

by Christy Lamb on 12/21/24

At Charming Pony Parties, our animal family is full of unique personalities, each with their own special quirks. One of the most beloved members of our farm is Freddy the Pig, a delightful Kune Kune who has captured the hearts of everyone who visits. Freddy joined us in the spring of 2022, and since then, he’s become an integral part of our farm family.

Freddy’s Journey to Charming Pony Parties

Freddy came to us when his previous family had to move and could no longer keep him. Wanting to ensure he went to a loving home, they entrusted us with Freddy, knowing he would be well cared for. From the moment he arrived, Freddy’s gentle and friendly nature made him an instant favorite among visitors and staff alike.

Freddy’s Life on the Farm

Freddy quickly settled into his new home, and it didn’t take long for him to make a new best friend—Donkey. That’s right, Freddy has decided to live with Donkey, forming an unexpected yet heartwarming friendship. The two are inseparable, often found lounging together in the sun or exploring the farm side by side. Their bond is a reminder of the special connections that can form between animals, regardless of their differences.

Freddy’s days are filled with exploration, relaxation, and plenty of socializing with both his animal friends and our visitors. He’s particularly fond of head scratches and never misses an opportunity to nuzzle up for some extra love. Visitors are always charmed by his friendly demeanor and how much he enjoys a good scratch behind the ears.

Getting to Know Freddy

Kune Kune pigs, like Freddy, are known for their gentle and social personalities. Here are a few things that make Freddy so special:

  • A Social Butterfly: Freddy enjoys wandering around the farm, making friends with other animals, and greeting guests. Whether he’s hanging out with Donkey or meeting new visitors, Freddy’s always in good company.

  • A Lover of Snacks: Freddy has a hearty appetite and loves his food! Fresh veggies, fruits, and the occasional pig-friendly treat are among his favorites. He’s always eager for a snack, especially when it comes with a side of head scratches.

  • Farm Favorite: Freddy’s playful and laid-back nature makes him a hit during our farm tours and events. Whether it’s posing for photos or just being his adorable self, Freddy knows how to win over everyone he meets.

Come Meet Freddy and Donkey!

We invite you to visit Charming Pony Parties and meet Freddy and his best friend, Donkey. Whether you’re here for one of our events, a farm tour, or just to say hello, Freddy will be delighted to greet you. He’s a wonderful example of the joy and warmth that animals bring to our lives, and we’re so grateful to have him as part of our farm family.

The next time you’re looking for a fun, family-friendly outing, stop by and give Freddy a visit. He’ll be waiting for you with a friendly snort and a nuzzle, ready for head scratches and maybe a treat or two!

Meet Donkey: A Gentle Soul with a Heart of Gold

by Christy Lamb on 12/19/24

At Charming Pony Parties, every animal has a unique story, and none is more touching than that of Donkey. Donkey joined our farm in the summer of 2022, arriving alongside his companions Cupcake and Sebastian. They all came from a difficult situation—rescued from a slaughter auction and in desperate need of care and compassion. Despite a rough start, Donkey has made remarkable progress and has become a beloved part of our farm family.

Donkey’s Journey to a New Home

When Donkey arrived at our farm, he was emaciated and fearful, like his fellow rescues. It was clear he needed time, patience, and a lot of TLC to regain his trust and health. The transformation we’ve witnessed in Donkey has been truly heartwarming. Though he took a while to warm up to us, the bond we’ve formed with him has been incredibly rewarding.

Donkey’s Progress and Personality

Donkey’s journey from a timid rescue to a trusted member of our team has been filled with small victories and moments of joy. Here’s a bit more about Donkey and what makes him special:

  • A Slow Starter: Donkey was initially very wary of people, which is understandable given his past. He needed time to adjust to his new surroundings and to build trust with us. Through gentle care and consistent positive interactions, Donkey has come to trust us more and more.

  • A Working Companion: One of the exciting developments is that Donkey can now carry a small pack saddle, which we use to transport refreshments for our off-site events. It’s a testament to his progress and a wonderful way for him to be involved in our activities. Seeing him happily carrying supplies while being surrounded by the farm community is a joy.

  • Timid Yet Affectionate: Donkey is still a bit timid, especially around new people. However, once he decides you’re OK, his affection shines through. He loves getting pets and enjoys gentle attention from those he trusts. His shy demeanor quickly melts away when he feels safe and appreciated.

The Joy of Caring for Donkey

Caring for Donkey has been a deeply fulfilling experience for our team. His resilience and gradual transformation are reminders of the incredible impact love and care can have on an animal's life. We’re proud of the progress he’s made and are grateful for the opportunity to provide him with a safe and loving home.

Come Say Hello to Donkey

We invite you to visit Charming Pony Parties and meet Donkey in person. Whether you’re attending one of our events or stopping by for a farm tour, Donkey is always happy to see visitors. He might be a bit shy at first, but with a gentle approach, you’ll soon experience his sweet nature and enjoy some special moments of connection.

Donkey’s story is a beautiful example of how far compassion and patience can go. He’s come a long way from his difficult past and continues to thrive in his new home. We hope you’ll come to visit Donkey and share in the joy of seeing him live his best life.

Thank you for supporting our mission to rescue and care for animals like Donkey. We look forward to welcoming you to Charming Pony Parties and introducing you to this remarkable, gentle soul.
